Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is conveniently located just off the motorway, making it easy to access with young children. The rooms were cozy and well-appointed, with a perfect shower despite the room being a bit too warm initially. The service, especially from the restaurant staff, was outstanding despite the busyness. However, the noise from the motorway prevented us from keeping the windows open. The dining experience was delightful, offering fresh and varied choices, and the proximity to a mini-park with restaurants was a plus.
The hotel provided lovely, spacious rooms within a charming complex with varied dining options, although our first assigned room wasn't ready. Despite the lack of cream soap in the shower, the room was spacious and ensured a great night's sleep.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, although a bit of a challenge initially with the smoking issue and staff attitude, were spacious, quiet, comfortable, and clean, providing ample room for our group of five. The service was excellent overall, with attentive and helpful staff, although room service and housekeeping were sound. The location, conveniently close to the motorway and within driving distance to Portlaoise town, was practical for our needs, but lacked greenery and had a somewhat uninviting restaurant/bar atmosphere. Despite some shortcomings, the dining experience was of high quality and recommended for future visits.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were reasonably sized and well-appointed, but unfortunately, the pillowcases and bed sheets were not clean. However, the family room I stayed in was very clean and spacious. The service was excellent overall, with the staff being extremely helpful and accommodating, although there were moments of waiting at the front desk. The location was convenient for a stopover stay, but it felt more like a motel than a hotel. The dining experience was average, with a lack of fruit at breakfast, yet the muffins were nice. Overall, the hotel provided a satisfactory stay with some room for improvement.
